Same as before except with CHRS kludge set to "CP866 2".
I wonder if the CP866 to KOI8R translation didn't work?
Here is a KOI8R output of same without changing the CHRS kludge.
Strange. As is 'file' shows it as 'ISO-8859 text' which I know is
wrong. Forcing it using 'iconv -f koi8-r' shows it as 'Unicode text,
UTF-8 text' and the line in question becomes; Сильный, как бык, умный,
как трактор. Definetly more evidence in favour of setting all output
to utf-8 given all the 8-bit character confusion and corruption. I
believe I said that at the start of this particular thread.
I tend to agree.
As the Highlander once said, there can be only one, and in this case
it is utf-8.
I kind of like the small indention, as it makes it a bit easier on
the eyes.

Done. Either way works for me. I still have yet to commit to any of
the quoting scheme so now is a good time for change.
Change it again when you're bored.
Change it again when you're bored.
Hm. Now what?
Change it again when you're bored.
Okay.
Change it again when you're bored.
Not really bored ... yet ... but what the heck. At my age, and
current circumstances, it doesn't take much to create some excightment
for myself.
Hm. Now what?

Give it a day or two and it'll make it to my distro, so I can catch
up.
We could always keep attempting to break iconv..? ;)
