I have managed to remove the asterisk indicating required field in new user application for netmail. I am trying to remove the requirement for new applications to have to put in their email or pat@m.f to get the registration to be accepted. I even tried removing the netmail section from the register.xjs and it is still required to put in an email address. I do not required email address on the telnet side for setup in the scfg config file. How do I remove the mandatory email address requirement from the 000-register.xjs file? where is the pat@m.f being propagated from. I do not mind having it on the form just not as a requirement to complete application. Thank you gentlemen and have a good weekend.

I think webv4 respects the new-user questionnaire settings defined via scfg, in the System -> New User Prompts menu.

Generally speaking, you are not expected to edit any xjs or ssjs files in order to configure or customize webv4. If you find yourself altering one of those files to make what feels like a "configuration" change, there's probably another way to do it.
