  • sixel viewer setup questions

    I want to install the sixelgallery on my BBS. I am using the git version of sixelgaller.js by Craig Hendricks. I am up to part where I point the viewer to the file directories. I noticed he referred to Path_to_im_conv= c:\imagemagick\convert.exe' I downloaded version 7.1.1-Q16-HDRI.exe I do not see a program called convert.exe in the directory. I see one named conjure.exe, which exe should I be using? Should I have downloaded a windows registery installer version or the 7.1.0-38 that does not install in registry? The notes in the GIT do not mention this. What is everyone else using? I may want to include this in the logon screens at some point but right now I just wanted to include a picture gallery on the BBS for my family and friends. Any help will be greatly appreciated.     I use codefenix NewsDesk (RSS) program (JS) for synchronet. I had not seen this sixel gallery until, I tried looking up the one you mentioned Rixer.

    I'm going to give this one a try when I have a chance.

    This is the one I am using. I get no errors, just no images as well. I am trying to read the dos dialogue box that pops on my console when someone launches the image gallery viewer. Like I say no errors. I changed convert.exe to magick.exe in my path since there is no convert.exe in the zip I received from the link to image magick. Good luck with the experiment!     I've not installed imagemagick in Windows. Let me try that also.

    I've installed the package on linux, and it is working as expected. But I already had the login matrix working; which used convert.

    Downloaded the windows version of Imagemagick and it seems,
    magick works just like convert

    magick originalfile newfile.sixel

    will create the sixel file.

    I just get a blank screen after the please wait message and at the bottom of the screen it reads press any key to continue. No errors, no image either. I am glad it worked for you.
