  • The US wants Taiwan to produce 50% of its chips in the US

    Taiwan has ignored this "proposal" in negotiations with the US. Such a deal would make Taiwan extremely vulnerable, as it would practically create an incentive for the US to let China destroy Taiwan. After all, the US would then retain sole control over superchip manufacturing.
