As previously mentioned I have no love lost for South Korea. Though if you get in the crosshairs of their immigration (Which is all too easy to do.). They are at least fair in their investigation.

Though what happened to the report that the arrests were due to a month long investigation at the factory? I also question their lawyers claims that they were authorized to work under valid B-1 visa's or ESTA waivers.

B-1 VISA's and ESTA allows for "Limmited" work, such as business meetings, negotiations, and conventions. You are not allowed GAINFUL employment and cannot receive a salary..

I believe the Hyundai and or their sub-contractor screwed up and secured the wrong visa type.

Had this happened in South Korea to any other forienger, their immigration department would have levied fines, jail, deportation, and imposed a re-entry ban.

    ZERO sympathy.
