It displays a level of (in)competence that could become an expensive problem.
Mistakes like this can lead to a whole lot more money being wasted by/stolen from our government, and stolen from taxpayers directly. It

It makes sense to be concerned about it, but nobody is perfect. There's no proven method to attaining government efficiency, so these guys are an inexperienced work crew, and there will be bumps in the road.
At least we don't have Chinese weather balloons hovering over our nuclear storage facilities anymore. If Trump had a magic wand, then of course things would so smoother.

The media mentioned that "these balloons have been flying around since Trump's
administration," but I don't believe it, because the media would have been overjoyed with the opportunity to pin that on Trump, and it never happened.
