I'm with you on that... and have done most of my research in those old books.... but the current stuff is on the computers now....

Probably make it easier to find something with a search.

another and before I knew it hours had passed. And still didn't have half of what I was there for in the first place. :)

Done that, many a time... :)

It would be nice if that were online and I could just download and read
it later, copy and paste what I'm looking for and save the rest for later.

I'll have wine if with friends who are imbibing and offer to share, but otherwise not that much of a wine drinker either

    Same here.
Sometimes at a big to do at church we'll have mimosa and I always joke "That's the best tasting orange juice!" :)

I do like my single malt scotch

I was never a scotch drinker. A cousin of mine was.
When I was in college at parties there would be Purple Jesus or
something. It was all grain alcohol with some grape juice, served from like a wash
    tub.
Reminds me of the old joke: My grandmother was 95 when she died, and
never needed glasses. She drank right out of the bottle. :)

something. It was all grain alcohol with some grape juice, served
    from like a wash tub.

we called that "Hunch Punch" or "Cowboy Koolaid" but HP was the more commonly used name... we served it from all manner of vessels, too... bathtubs, kiddie pools, kitchen sinks, ice chests, etc... anything that could hold large amounts of fluids...

we also added various sliced fruits to it... there's nothing quite like watching someone eating kiwi, strawberry, and other fruit slices from the tub and getting drunk off them... especially when they "weren't drinkers" and "didn't touch the stuff" ;)

i won't even mention the other alcohols that were also added in addition to the grain alcohol, generally Everclear, but there were generally no less than 4 or 5 different liquors in what we regularly made and consumed O:)

grape juice was one of the ""thinners"" we added... there was also fruit punch, clear soda like 7up, ginger ale, and similar... plus water when someone decided to use kool-aid packs...

no, i have no experiance with any of this

We called ours Jungle Juice because it was usually made with Tropical Hi-C
or some other fruit punch. Usually had vodka or everclear as the alcohol.

I would normally not drink much of it because it was too fruity.

yeah, that was one of the mixes, too...

if that was the case, you needed to add more alcohol to it ;) O:)

Or you picked out the fruit and put it back in the tub. :)
With all that alcohol no germ could survive.
