It turns out the issue I described a few messages back can now be overcome by with a special fstab option, x-systemd.automount, which correctly satisfies the dependencies involved in mounting /home on /var/www with systemd. Latest information can be helpful, even if you have to dig for it in systemd.mount(5)
So, I'll trod on now with CentOS 8 for now on the new host, at least if
quotas and everthing else Virtualmin still work correctly, but I'm still
no fan of systemd and will be setting up another VM for testing alternatives.
