using QWKE packets will make the area names show properly in
MultiMail.

The SBBS developers have extended QWK largely. I haven't used QWK
as a user for
eons so I'm not really up on the QWK user experience but for QWK networking SBBS nodes don't need to use QWKE for longer user
names and subject lines. SBBS QWK nodes can also transfer netmail
and files between nodes. It's really impressive how that works.
Hmmmmm, well I only fairly recently switched to using QWKE (a
config choice on the SBBS QWK options). Before I changed that
(from regular QWK), I was seeing truncated subject lines and echo
area names. So I think you have to enable QWKE in your packet
configuration on SBBS to get those features. This was using the
MultiMail offline reader for viewing.
