Odd, I don't get that issue and I am using the same server
Spoon crashes also with my own local nntp server, the 32bit Raspberry

Posting seems to work, but the REPLIES file will still be there after
the crash. NEWS*.msg files are removed.

Oh well, no such problems in my OS/2 system. :)
I was airlifted to hospital last week so it is low on my list. I think what I will do is go through the code, make sure that file anmes are all lower case and agree. Then start working on the issues
