• Unexpected punishment for using IPv6

From Björn Felten@2:203/2 to All on Sat Oct 7 15:01:24 2023
I needed to use my web browser on my Fido box (the only one where I use IPv6) and found this message:

    About this page

This network is blocked due to unaddressed abuse complaints of malicious behavior. This page checks if it is really a human sending the requests and not a robot coming from this network.

"unaddressed" and "malicious behavior(sic)"? The only outgoing traffic from this address is my binkd traffic. And the only recipients are Fido members, as far as I know. Is Ray still alive after all?

I have heard from several others that encounter problems with a he.net tunnel. To circumvent geo restrictions some people use a VLAN. To counter this "abuse" content providers block the use of VLANs. A he.net tunnel is flagged as a VLAN in this context.

Still using WinXP without a real firewall?

On the contrary my pretty old he.net tunnels (/64 and /48) have good reputation for example when sending email to @gmail addresses.

Are you talking about VPN, not VLAN?

BOC. Why use anything else when running a system that is basically MSDOS based? An archaic computer for archaic software.
