    I could have sworn that I saw network in the question. My mistake.

    One only needs to install a mailer and compile a nodelist. The
    nodelist itself can even have just one entry and since that would
    most likely be the Zone definition, that one system "is" the
    network.

    I see your point. That's what I get for reading messages with 3 hours of sleep in the last 48.

    Only one system. That doesn't prohibit multiple users using Telnet, dial up or any other type of access you might have from participating. Or even point systems, since generally points aren't on the node list.
