Since Jeff is also the RC, you might want to netmail Nick Andre directly. ... Typos Happpen.
Hello Jeff or anybody who is in contact with him.
There is a comma missing between the sysop name field and the
phonenumber
field: ,Jeff_Smith-Unpublished-,
I have tried to inform Jeff by netmail, but the messages apparently
did not reach him.
The current entry I have herein my .ctl is:
,7,Grem's_Place,Anoka_MN,Jeff_Smith,-Unpublished-,300,CM,XX,ITN,IFT,IN A:bbs.grem s-place.net,IBN
So, I don' know what to tell you.

I looked in the latest segment that went out to Nick and there was
no missing comma.

Hmmm... I (1:282/1031) just sent a nemail to 1:14/7 and it was sent out and received fine.

Todays Z1 Nodelist tells me that both nodes are administered by
Jeff Smith. Todays Z1 Nodelist does not list a valid entry for
1:14/7
There's no comma after the name.
No idea what that ";E " is all about.
;E,7,Grem's_Place_BBS,Anoka_MN,Jeff_Smith-Unpublished-,300,CM,XX,ITN,IFT,INA:bbs. grems-place.net,IBN
There's no comma after the name.
Here's a snippet from my copy of nodelist.087, which I received
through normal FDN distribution:
d-b alloon.org,IBN
;E ,7,Grem's_Place_BBS,Anoka_MN,Jeff_Smith-Unpublished-,300,
CM,XX,ITN,IFT,INA:bbs.grems-place.net,IBN
No idea what that ";E " is all about.

Makenl does some checking on the first 7 fields of a nodelist
line. The flags we introduced later and not included in the
makenl checking process.
When makenl finds an error in a line, it disables the line by
prepending ;E
Then a second error line is added that declares the err
Fiels are delimited by comma's
The first field defines functions as Zone, Region, Host, Hub, Pvt
etc. For normal nodes this field is empty.
The fifth field contains the sysop name, it should not contain
spaces. Because the comma is missing -Unpublished- becomes part
of the sysopname.
The sixth field defines the telephone number, because of the
missing delimiter, the baudrate is taken as the telephone numer.
There is a numeric value there so it seems to be OK for makenl.
Then the seventh field is read, which now contains "CM". This is
not accepted as a valid baudrate and makenl decides the line is
in error. A line is inserted ;E -- invalid baudrate -- 'CM'
