    According to Gregory Deyss, Dale Shipp has passed away.

    sadly, yes, i can... i met Dale and Gale at a Cooking echo gathering in North Carolina a few years back... maybe early 2019?? it has been a while... the picture on that page certainly looks like the gentleman i met there with others that i shared a pot of beans with... the description is certainly accurate with life details i've read in stories he and Gail used to share in the Cooking echo... i remember when Dale stepped down from moderating Cooking but i didn't realize that he passed back in 2024...

    He was a decent man. His dissappearance from life and still being listed as a sysop after a year and a half is kind of a shock.

    One of ours leaving and nobody noticing?

    I've written obituaries for many, but I haven't known him enough to do it now. Maybe someone else will do the honours?
