No singing the Russian National Anthem, either!
But it is fine for Russians to compete, and win medals.
As long as they do not celebrate as Russians.
Or sing the Russian National Anthem.
Which nobody sings anyway, as all the anthems are pre-recorded.
Besides, nobody can sing the USA National Anthem, which is sung
to the tune of an old English drinking song, which not even the
English can sing in tune (even when they are sober).
So. Let's not have another little war between Russia and Japan.
Especially over a spat that nobody knows anything about.

Meanwhile, one former athlete from LSU will be staying home
having failed a dope test for smoking pot. But at least he can
sing his national anthem from the comfort of his own home while
watching his teammates win gold in Tokyo ...

Believe me, most of the Russian don't know text of their (ours :) National Anthem because it changed several times during last 100 years (even music changes 3 times).
I remember 2 texts from USSR era (more than enough!), but don't have any reasons to remember new one. My memory for National Anthem is full. No more RAM available.
