So while you tell everyone else "no politics" in here in the echo rules, you take carte blanche for spouting yours? I thought you were above being hypocritical.

Too bad you won't stand up to that bully.

You're using your position as editor as a bully pulpit. In this scope, that makes you no better than what you're accusing Trump of.

As we all know, opinions are like assholes: everyone's got one; some are bigger than others and they all stink.

Just my opinion, of course. Nugas garris and all that. ;)

It "cheapens" your 'zine when you involve American politics, just like how Bjorn has cheapened Fidonews for decades with his anti-American rantings. You two actually have a lot in common with the way you like to play games.

I can't really do anything about that, but perhaps you could also add a disclaimer to your "Zone 1 blog" that links off the official fidonet.org
domain regarding the American political news that has absolutely nothing to
do with Fidonet... nor does it represent the views of all Zone 1 Sysops.

That's a funny comment but ok...I don't see it the same way you do, that is apparent.. I'll have to ask my brother, he's a Canadian citizen... maybe "you guys" think different than us here "down-er under". He's lived there since he was about 18... he's 67 now.

I quoted an article with no comment.. and yet the maggots collected.

Bjorn and I have had our differences... but we've also had good discussions as well.

In the drudge of life, I do entertain funny links like "Cheeto Christ" because, once again, people need to THINK... certainly about Trump.

You, I know do NOT want to think. It's ok, you like being safe where you live.

Or shall your links be removed entirely?

    Janis, this is very simple.

When someone is interested in Fidonet, and looks at Zone 1 pages that are
there now, and sees a "Zone 1 Blog", it is assumed that the blog is related to Fidonet. Stuff about Fido software, operation, etc. But American politics???

What, exactly, does the Mueller report have to do with *Fidonet*. What do democrat candidates have to do with *Fidonet*. What does your use of Fidogazette to promote your political view have anything to do with *Fidonet*

Thats why I want your "Zone 1 blog" GONE or renamed to something OTHER than "Zone 1 blog". American political blogs promote *politics*. American politics do nothing to promote *Fidonet* or have ANYTHING to do with *Fidonet*

Either you clean up your site ASAP so it promotes FIDONET and NOT American politics on your "Zone 1 blog", or I will make the necessary corrections!

So while you tell everyone else "no politics" in here in the echo rules, you SD>take carte blanche for spouting yours? I thought you were above being SD>hypocritical.

It was a hard lesson for me to learn, but Daniel 2:21 says that "The
Lord sets up kings, and He removes kings". To me, that's anyone in a
position of authority, from the president/head of state, on down to the
    lowly janitor cleaning the toilets.

They are in there by God's Direct or Permissive Will...whether mankind
likes it or not. Until the Divinely Ordained Time arrives for that
person to be out of power, there is NOTHING their enemies can do about
it. But, once that time does arrive, there iS NOTHING that person or
their cronies can do to stop it.

I was not happy at all when Obama was in there...and what I learned
the hard way was that the "God put him there". That is the ONLY reason I
accept that certain individuals are in power.

It was like the Jewish Sanhedrin member Gamaliel told his
associates..."If this (Christianity) be of man, it will come to nothing.
But, if it be of God, you can not stop it".

    LOL.

Its amusing to me that after a long period of playful tame banter between myself and Wilfred van Velzen, all of the sudden that "stopped" one day, and "Oli" made his grand debut. Its like some sort of weird homage to the split personality of Lee/Bjorn. Your recent kludge-douchebaggery in the BinkD echo has the tell-tale signs written alllllllllll over it.

Before you expose your cluelessness further, the fidonet.org server system is not hosted or ran by any ZC and has its history of problems, more serious ones than your douchebaggery trolling games.

To have one simple page or DNS entry changed on that system is not a straightforward task one would think. In fact its impressive that even *something* can be updated on that Rube Goldberg contraption that masquerades as a Linux system. Here with go again with Linux, the "advanced OS" thats so advanced, not even the server sysadmin can easily make *one change* to it.

Anyhow, I am in a position to wave my magical wizard wand and have the NS records point to my own DNS at any time. And in doing so... I would
potentially upset the MX and DNS for Region 50 and possibly others.

I normally don't mind a good fight but I'm not being paid enough by you or others to fight a region of Russians who've come to depend on Fidonet as something of importance to them in the Putin regime.

Since no ZC has direct access to the current underlining DNS, it would be difficult to clone the DNS. No ZC is being paid enough to take that on.

And who recently ate the cost of renewing the fidonet.org domain? Whoes credit card paid the bill? Or should the domain expire and go to a squatter instead?

Was the Zone 1 anti-Trump site a mission-critical website that must be up
24/7? What happens when you visit www.fidonet.org and click Zone 1?

What exactly have you contributed to Fidonet, other than anal vapor?

Never saw a show on Broadway...the last show I saw in Little Rock was

One time, at "The Rep" (formerly the Arkansas Repertory Theatre),
there was "An Evening With Groucho". Then, in Branson, Missouri, I saw
    "An Evening With Red Skelton".

In each case, the performer was the only one licensed by the late

I think that is quite an exaggeration, Dan. Yes, I expect Trump will win again, but not because he deserves to or because he is some 'master politician'. If he wins again it will be because typically elections for people already office are generally reelected. I've always said this, and for instance long ago when Ross Cassell contacted me, fearful that he would lose a relection for Regional Coordinator, I told him not to worry... he would be relected no problem. And he was.

So if Trump is reelected, it will be at no level of surprise, no heads exploding, and we will just have to work harder to displace those in our house and senate who are republican.

Then again, I could be completely wrong, and the groundswell of responsible people will kick the bum out. :)

    OK well that's good - I really don't want anyone's head to
explode. But I'm sure there will be some. Sounds like you won't
be among them, but if you'll recall, there were a LOT of people
who pretty much melted down when he was elected last time. Those
people may not survive a repeat performance.

Then again, I could be completely wrong, and the groundswell of responsible people will kick the bum out. :)

Honestly, and as a Republican, I say this: The best thing going
for Trump are the opposition candidates... No, really. America
is not ready to elect a Socialist or an old washed up has-been who
shows signs of dementia setting in. The other candidates have
nearly a zero chance of going a day past Super Tuesday. So if the

Well, Libtards are going to be *QUITE* disappointed come November.

Whoever wins, whether it's the presidency, seats in Congress, or in
another position of authority, they will do so ONLY because The Lord
God, Soverign over all of His Creation, either directed or allowed it.
As it notes in Daniel 2:21 "The Lord Sets Up Kings, and He Removes
    Kings".

That was a bitter pill for me to swallow...especially when Obama was
in power...but they are in there for a reason...either as a blessing or
a judgment. Basically, if The Lord God's Will is for Trump to be
re-elected, he will be. If not, he won't be...it's as simple as that.
His Ways are NOT our ways.

And, for those who scream "violation of the separation of church and
state", the TRUE meaning of that is that "the Church doesn't run the Government...and the Government doesn't run the Church". Those who want "Freedom From Religion" will get their wish granted one day...and they
won't like the results of it.

Be careful... the last election, the side that had the biggest heads about MP>it being a sure thing were the ones that went through all of the stages of MP>grief (some rather publicly) between 6PM ET election night and the next MP>morning.

I understand that Hillary Clinton, in her hotel suite, went into
"a demonic rage", throwing things around, as a child having a temper
tantrum, when it became clear she was losing...and that they had to call
hotel security to forcibly restrain her.

Then, she didn't have the courage to come down before her supporters,
to tell them that she had lost. Yet, you didn't hear a peep about this
    from the mainstream media.

I fondly remember you and a few others were whining about fascism and an imaginary dictatorship from Trump in 2016. Trump was going to destroy your economy, constitution and civil rights. World war 3, total anarchy, black men back in chains, Hispanics tossed out by means of a giant wooden Acme catapolt.

Now you want to vote for a candidate who praises communist, socialist ideas and dictators, violent Antifa and a campaign ran by staffers openly calling for "re-education camps" for those pesky conservatives.

First, show me where I said any of the things you try to attribute to me. I'm not responsible for things other people say and I don't hold you responsible for things white nationalists say.

Beyond that why do you use the word communist alongside the word socialist. They are two different economic philosophies and you'll note that Bernie Sanders does not consider himself a communist but rather a democratic socialist. Is Sweeden a communist country? Denmark? Germany? Canada? Great Britain? All of these countries have implemented many of the policies you deride as Communist. You think throwing a label on something makes it bad?

I could infer from your comments that you must pay a private security firm and a private fire department to keep your home safe rather than rely on government services...

Cite some examples of Biden saying or doing things that come close to the idio
this jerk Trump has uttered... please.

"We gotta...it's, just, but... you gotta... I mean...the...tee... we gotta 'gree-issue'... look, heh, my, my message to everybody I talk to..." -- Joe Biden, MSNBC "Morning Joe" interview earlier this year.

"We hold these truths to be self evident. All men and women created by
the, go, you know, you know, the thing." Joe Biden, campaign rally,
    3/2/2020.

"You know the rapidly rising, uh, um, uh, in with, uh, with uh, I don't
know, uh..." Joe Biden, C-SPAN, June, 2020, apparently speaking about
    COVID.

"The problem is, those countries like Africa and Asia, those places, they're the reason why we have all these problems." Joe, at a Primary campaign stop
    in Iowa, circa March, 2020.

A couple of quotes that at least sound coherent, although I only read the transcript, which might have been edited to remove stammering and rambling:

"Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things." Joe Biden, interview hosted by National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists, earlier this week.

"We can build a new administration that reflects the full diversity of our nation. The full diversity of the Latino communities. Now, when I mean
full diversity, unlike (the) African American community, many other communities, you're from everywhere." -- Joe Biden, virtual National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials conference, shortly
after his campaign attempted to backtrack the previous comment above.

When I was in school, I learned that Africa is not just one big country and
has ethnic and cultural diversity, just like Central and South America do.
I would assume the leader of our country should know that, too, and am
pretty sure past leaders got dinged for making similar statements.

"No, I haven't taken a test! Why the Hell would I take a (cognitive) test? C'mon, man! That's like saying, 'You, before you got on this program,
you took a test where you're taking cocaine or not,' what do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?" CBS interview, 8/5/2020. He in past claimed to have been tested multiple times.

"I am, um, I am very willing to let the American public judge my physical and mental fill... my physical as well as my mental fill... fitness...",
    same CBS inteview.

You can search and find multiple examples on the campaign trail where he
cannot remember if he was elected VP in 1976 or 2010 or several other years that are not 2008. I could see confusing 2008 and 10, but any year
    2008-2016 with 1976?

Just the latest example from Trump: yo-semite

OK I guess that proves that his mental "fillness" is slipping, too, or
maybe he is having trouble with his "gree-issue," or, um, uh, you know, his thing.

I sometimes stutter also, but what Joe has going on is well beyond a simple stutter. Like I have pointed out before, I have had at least a couple of relatives (and one co-worker) who started having issues like this. Maybe
Joe is more resilient than they were but, with all of them, when we started noticing things like this and when it became a serious issue took < 4 years.

    Mike, use you brain...

I am. I think you might need to take off your blue-tinted glasses and
your blue-filtered earpiece and pay attention to Joe. If he gets elected,
I doubt he will serve a full term. He certainly won't make it 8 years
before the party decides he needs to step aside.

Like I said, be sure you are happy with his VP choice.

    Mike
