(I know I'm going to hate myself for this)

What in the hell is an `FTSC'?

This is a quote from the ftsc.org website:

    FidoNet Technical Standards Committee

The FTSC is an elected body of FidoNet developers and administrators who OO>document technical practice in FidoNet, a worldwide amateur mail and OO>file transfer network that began in approximately 1984.

Ah! Thanks. This is the only sensible answer I got.

The various terms of the fidonet hobby are scattered in many places. I think most of us have become complacent and content to just google something when we need to look something up, and then "figure it out". "FTSC" in a google search would give many places to look.

For me, the most logical place to look for info like that would be:

    http://fidonet.org

..BUT, the site doesn't have a Search option.

An "official" place to read more about FTSC would be here:

    http://ftsc.org/

From a User's point of view, there is no standard and complete document of terms. We have to rely on what you might find offered by your Sysop on the BBS you are using.

    Don't feel bad. ;)
