    Hi Everyone

    I am running Arca OS/2 with PB217, FE 1.46, & Binkd 1.1a-27. I recall seeing other sysops having fun with the FE-Binkd setup & trying to figure out the
    fix action. Most notably exporting netmail from PB217 & packiong with
    Fastecho - binkd just doesnt see it.

    What I have learned is that fastecho isnt creating the *.clo files in the top outbound dir pointing to the pkt. If I manually create the *clo file & run binkd, it will extend into point dir & send those files.

    The issue seems to be between fastecho creating the point subdir, exporting
    the netmail/outbound mail pkt, that binkd is looking for. 4D tossing is misconfigured in fastecho?

    you should ask this in the FASTECHO and/or BINKD support echos... it isn't related to DOS since you're on OS/2, too...

    Great point. HOw did I get in here anyway? Where is that darn bridge??

    That was strange - jus shifted to working night shift. First time in
    probably 15+ years. Its been an absolutey crazy year so far.

    Back to topic - is desqview on FreeDOS possible these days or do I need to build a qemu instance?

    TBH i don't know about DESQview and freedos... i did see someone post the other day about running DESQview/DOS on modern hardware, though... don't recall if they mentioned which DOS they were using, though... the way they wrote it, the assumption is that it was on bare metal...

    That might have been me. I do run a QuickBBS setup on MSDOS 6.22 with Desqview on a P4 right now. It was a little touchy to setup but runs really well now. Once I figured out the DPMI memory issues it has been pretty solid for months.

    It's pretty amazing to have all that RAM (well 256M out of 1G) and using DV. Every session gets 16M of RAM and it's very cozy. :)
