So, I've been giving away free copies of the registered version, branded to your BBS and with all of the extra levels as well as the Monster and Level Editors.
...and yet, someone has still taken the time to write a crack for it to remove the demo timeout, branding and other stuff.
Classy.

I started branding copies and giving away the full version based on a
simple email request. I asked people to donate to the ASPCA in Bill's name.
I don't know why you or anyone else wants to shit all over that, but whatever, man.

Because it's a stupid way to do it.

Thank you for doing so.

That is disappointing. Maybe they were not aware that it was free-registerable? I saw where someone created one that changed the key mappings, but hadn't see the crack. :(

It is leaps and bounds better than what most people normally do... abandon
it all together and/or flat out refuse to pass out any registrations any
more (even for money).
Dealing with him to get a copy was easy enough I cannot complain.

Mike
Same guy. The key remapping archive contains instructions to remove the demo timeout, the "unregistered" banner and even the "registered" banner
in the full version.
All of which they are asked not to do in the original readme.

So now i know why you wanted to go on ragnarok's bbs.
you wanted to go on there to tell him to delete that patch.

Wrong again. I wanted to go on his site to download the patch and check
it out for possible inclusion on my Stickman web page.
Maybe that crack was around before.
I recognize the program used. "someone" used it to crack doormud a few times.
looks like we have to call the ASP on this one and get some justice!
Thanks, Mike.
I just wanted to be able to tell his parents and girlfriend that X
number of people had installed the registered version.

Possible. I never really thought about people being able to use one crack program to crack programs from two different authors.
