I do the same thing. Since the ctrl-C and V work in all my text editors
in Win as well, it's just automatic to think it would work in a Windows based text client.
ha! So true. I can always seem to solve the big issues, but it's the little ones I'll spend the most time on, to find out it was as simple as using my mouse .. I'm convinced my brain wasn't wired right .. at times. I do blame some of it on growing up in basic with a c64, then DOS; while also my js coding classes requiring repetitive short cuts and NOT using a mouse to prepare us for productive coding within a company that would hire us. So yeah, twice this week now, I've discovered such stupidly simple solutions after posting what I thought were flaws and or major problems relating to BBS'ing. It must be with my daughter and her family visiting us this week that I'm distracted and
just not able to think these problems all the way through :)
As for All Pro Dads. I captured the attention of the Family First
Organization and one of their corporate promoters was curious about how
FidoNet works and had RSVP'ed to attend the July 14th class. His intent
being to see if theres a way he could find effective formats to assist us in having this program more easily available through BBS's!! Unfortunately, nobody RSVP'ed. I'd be curious to know who, if anyone, has an interest in giving ONE meeting a test drive; and then discussing a way to (forget the
term) parse or scrape(?) the daily emails and once a month meeting content, then scripting it directly to this Dad feed? While I'm learining API coding, I'm no pro yet. But I'm sure we have the talent to have some on purpose dad topics to discuss and can't think of a better program to test ....If there is
a genuine interest, could anyone reading reply?
