It's an interesting idea. My cat runs from one side of the apartment to the other. You can hear her claws trying to grip the floor in the hallway, it's kind of funny.

I don't think she would use it though and it would be an expensive experiment.

Sounds like a young one. My remaining 2 cats are 15 and 14 yrs old. I don't recall seeing them EVER run for anything except maybe to escape a predator.

The price for that wheel is insane. But I'd bet there are sufficient people out there who would gladly pay that insane price.

I forget when we got her but it must be 8-10 years ago, and she was about two years old when we got her.

Yep, it's a little to rich for my budget. If she would use it I would consider it more but I don't think she would figure it out.

Catnip seems to have different results on different cats. Some
get active and agile, and some just lay around as if in a
dream-like state. I never personally subjected my cats to it.
My primarily outdoor cats rely on having their wits about them
to avoid predators.

Around here, we've got coyotes so yes, my cats have to have their wits about them. I really doubt giving a cat catnip causes them to get dopey enough to succumb to coyotes though, at least I have never ready anything about that :)
