Hi all,
So far I have only checked out Synchronet as a system for running a bbs.
For those who have tried other systems out meaning more than one what other ones have you tried and what ones have you found harder / easier to configure from a messaging system prospective?
I don't really do any door games on my system as of yet really so mostly I focus on connecting to Fidonet Fsxnet and Micronet so far.

I really like Talisman BBS. Windows and linux native, opensource, LUA scripting, native message networking for FTN, QWK, WWIV. Give it a look.

I try to stay away from PC style board. I run 3 different Commodore boards. C-Net is the program, but a version for the Amiga, C128 and C64 is what I run. Some are on real hardware modernized. Some on emulated on Windows. Not the easiest, but deffently different than the mainstream.

Synchronet by far is best doe no hassle setup for messaging system.
