• Accept telnet mailer sessions on 23

From Sean Rima@2:263/1 to All on Wed Jul 15 23:14:36 2026
My current command for bbbsd is:

    sudo ./bbbsd 3 21 rawd:24554:binkp telnetd:10023 telnetd:23 httpd:443:ssl httpd:80 ftpd:21 uid:bbbs fork

But that does not seem to accept incoming mailer sessions on telnet port 23. Is there comething I should be doing?

I tried that but then I lose telnet for users. Also it is the binkp protcol and itn. I opened port 60179 and set that as rawd:61079 and then forgot to open it in the firewall :)

    Hi Sean,

From your previous email, I assumed that the port through which you wanted to receive extra binkp connections was 23.

According to the BBBS documentation, your start command should be:

    sudo ./bbbsd 3 21 rawd:24554:binkp telnetd:10023 telnetd:23:binkp httpd:443:ssl httpd:80 ftpd:21 uid:bbbs fork

Or, if port 23 is to be reserved for classic telnet connectivity, this start command:

    sudo ./bbbsd 3 21 rawd:24554:binkp telnetd:10023:binkp telnetd:23 httpd:443:ssl httpd:80 ftpd:21 uid:bbbs fork

If not, I'm not understanding your problem. :-DDDDDDD
