Travelers departing from U.S. airports are no longer required to remove their shoes at security checkpoints. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the measure to reduce wait times and improve the travel experience.

"Security remains a top priority, but thanks to modern technology, we are confident we can maintain the highest security standards," Noem said.

The decision to no longer require travelers to remove their shoes is part of President Trump's "golden age of American travel."
