    I was making $11/hr in 2003 in Omaha, NE with just a work permit (no green card) and some very crappy English.
    In 2011 I was making like >$30/hr.

    How come you were born in this country and still made less money than I did?

    The United States is the best country in the world, because none of the employers ever asked me about my degree - they asked about actual knowledge.
