Funny.. If I request echos from my boss by netmail to areafix, aftershock will create them just fine.
Prior to that I had the impression that I could simply create the an
areaname here and this thing would auto-add
it via a built in areafix.
I haven't tried to create echo locally in aftershock. However it would be nice to have automatic (re)linking of echos that exist.
Just to be clear, here is my understanding of how this works.
1. You have to subscribe to an area using areafix. this has nothing to do with creating the area locally
2. An area is created locally automagically as soon as a message arrives for that group.
3. The issue is with _sending_ messages to a group. If the group does not exist locally you can create the group manually but then you need to
a. ensure that your local group is tagged as networked
b. you are connected to the group via areafix
c. the group name is correct
