    Hi,

How do I update my nodelist properly within Winpoint?

I know I can download it to an obsure directory.

    Welcome back.

I thought you "figured out" WinPoint a long time ago.

Winpoint requires manual steps to accomplish the nodelist
inclusion and updates. But from what I can remember, you need
to make Extras/Options/Nodelist to look like this:

    https://susepaste.org/84517042

..where all the expected files are in the /DistribNL directory.

..and, since your point is in Zone 1, you should put "1" in the
last field where I have "2".

Then, when all that is copacetic, all you have to do is:

    Fidonet /Process Nodelists (or Shift+Ctrl+L)

Then.. when you invoke the handy nodelist viewer with F9, you
    should see what you expect.

    HTH.

BTW... Winpoint now has its own echo: WINPOINT. Maybe hook to
that while you're at it. ;)

That field is only for Pointlists.

This did not work, nor do I know where to put it.

I tried it with a browser and no response.

I loaded the URL into Firefox yesterday and it worked - I could see the
image which August posted. I've just tried it again a few minutes ago and Firefox just sat there doing ..... nothing! There must be a problem somewhere, so I would keep on trying.

    Regards,
    Martin

Very interesting. I've never had a problem with susepaste.org.
I like it because there are no scripts and ads.

Maybe try just the http:// version, not the https:// version.

Is there a way to do this in WinPoint.

Correct. Winpoint does not support http:// links in a message.
You have to copy it manually to use it in a browser of your
    choice.

Downloading manually could be possible if Norton would just
    stop bitching at me.

I posted the image here too:
