From Joseph Evans@1:218/700 to All on Mon Aug 23 16:03:00 2021
    Greetings all!

I'm sure nobody expected to see any new messages in here, but more particularly, from someone new.

I write this to you on my Pentium 233 MMX machine that I still
occasionally feed the odd floppy or disc in. Toying with this box
reminds me of the simpler days when the 'net was for nerds!

I'm sure nobody then could have predicted what strange times we
seem to live in now... but I wish you, your family, and your friends
    good health and safety.

Here's to another 25 years (okay, 26 but who's counting :) to the
system that got me where I am today. Eventually the kids will ask me
why I have all of these 'save icons' lying around...

    Best,

    Joe

    Hey there

Here's a reply from Dunedin, New Zealand - the retro scene is alive and well good sir.

Hope you and yours are safe and well too.

    Best, Paul

    Same to you and yours!

Indeed. I still have my BBS up and running that I first had running in
    1988! :)
