  • message area jump

    Hi all

    Qestion. I did a quick search and couldn't find naything, but when you go to jump to a new message area, is it possible in the list of boards, to have an extra column which gives the date of the last message?

    EG

    Sub-boards of DOVE-Net Posts Last

    * [1] Advertisements 7 xxxxxxxxxxxx
    [2] Debate 37 xxxxxxxxxxxx

    There's no built-in option to do that, but you could write/use a script to change message areas and do something like that. It'd be a little slower to query the last message-posted date, but it's certainly doable. Nightfox's DDAreaChoosers module might already do this, check it out.

    I have some area chooser scripts I've made (for message areas and file areas), and my message area chooser does that. You can find it here:

    Consider using DDMsgAreaChooser which you should find in your xtrn
    directory. This is developed by Nightfox long with DDMsgReader DDFileAreaChooser and a few other tools that offer a nice consistent
    interface across groups and files.
