    It was certainly a journey, and that did cross my mind.

    You were better than me, I kept the backup when my BBS crashed in 2009, but when I restarted one I just started fresh, was on windows anyway and I switched to linux. But I guess the message base would have been the same.

    Now I wonder.... Would there be a way to merge them? ( forums files )

    I promise you that spinning up a new Windows VM was the last thing I wanted to do, but it seemed the most straightforward way to get things up and running again, as my original board ran on Win2k IIRC. I also had read the docs mentioning needing an old, unmaintained version of DOSEMU for 16-bit DOS support on Debian, so I decided to go this route.

    I might see about moving it to Linux in the future, but for the time being, I'm not a fan of fixing things that ain't broke :P
