• Mail to a Robot

From Boondock@1:103/705 to All on Mon Jun 21 05:36:32 2021
    Hi,
I have created a robot (based on tickfix.js) which is running well. What I want to know is if it is possible to send mail to the robot from the local system? The address for the 'bot is dogbone@4:920/1, but it is not seen as a local user, so I can't do that. If I send netmail to that address from the local server (ie from "boondock@4:920/1" to "dogbone@4:920/1") then it sits in the queue and never gets processed (/sbbs/fido/netmail/1.msg).
Is there something I can do to correct this?

    Thanks
    John

... If everything seems easy, you have obviously overlooked something.

That's for email as far as I can make out. It has the comment line:

// Example SMTP "Mail Processor" module.

What I'm asking about is netmail.

Your SBBSecho log (data/sbbsecho.log) will tell you why it's not processing that netmail message. Increase the log level to "Debug" if it's not tellig you enough.
