Should be fine so long as there isn't the same *network* within the overlapp

Ok, I have it half way working, but my confiusion is, when I put in 2 domains with zone 9, it acts crazy. For example, when I confure the domain for virnet, it thows an error on my fidonet zone 1 poll for Bad address.

for now, I do not have the domain nodelist configured and I have to select the source address when sending a netmail message because it wants to route to the wrong one. Im very lost

Ok, I think I may already know the answer to this but here goes anyway.

I am trying to configure VirNet on my SynchroNet system and it is zone 9, However, I am already running an fidonet echo (SurvNet) with also a zone of 9. I cn not figure out if it is possible to have 2 of the same zone (Im assuming no). But just in case im wrong, maybe there is a way to set up both echo services.

    I am running:
SynchroNet 3.18c using SynchroNet FidoNet config 3.12 (binkpoll)
    Using windows 10
my SurveNet Node is 9:91/39 to hub 9:91/1
my new Virnet node is 9:202/2 to hub 9:9/1

You don't *have* to use domains at all. What's the error, exactly?

You can't have two "9:ALL" links configured in echocfg, if that's what you're trying to do. Instead, you would use 9:<net>/ALL (to specify netmail routing) where each <net> is correct for that network.

Ok, that helps! I think I got it working now. My whole hand up was the domain settings area, if thats not required then im good to go!

Ok, so I have deleted the domains for survnet and virnet (zone 9) but my fidonet bink no longer works and gives me this error:

BINKPOLL BinkP got fatal error 'Bad address' from remote: 1:116/116@fidonet,1:116/0@fidonet

    (my node is 1:116/4148)

If I put a domain in for survnet the error goes away but I no longer get echos from virnet.

I also tried to remove the domains for fidonet (dont want to do that becuase of my nodelist handler) but the error remains.

Can you convince one of those other nets to change their zone?

yea, thats definatly not an option. I think as a work around I will use irex to toss just
Virnet and Synchronet to toss everything else.

IRex isn't a tosser (I don't believe) - it's a mailer. But sure, whatever works for you. You could also have 2 different SBBSecho configurations.

Correct...IREX is just a mailer. I use the BinkP deal with IREX
to send/receive FTN packets, then use SBBSEcho to toss everything.
QWK Networking is done through what's setup in SCFG.
