• Feature Request: Moving ECHOCFG to SCFG

From The Millionaire@1:103/705 to Digital Man on Wed May 11 14:06:22 2022
How about moving ECHOCFG to SCFG? That way all configs are in one place instead of having them separate.

Then I'd suspect Synchronet wouldn't have needed an EchoCfg either.

Well you still would need ECHOCFG for an external mailer but now that Synchronet has an internal mailer, no external mailer is needed.

Because that sounds like a hacky mess: modopts.ini is for JavaScript
    *module*
options, not applicable here at all. I don't think The Millionaire is actually running SCFG or EchoCfg at all; I think he's just trying to make conversation. <shrug>

My greatest aspect is making great conversation. :-P

    Except.... you don't.

So, let's summarize: You like the option more (that I suggested) to forget/ignore the "issue" and move on with no action. Even though *YOU* started the whole thread by creating the "issue". You have now changed your mind and *DON'T* think it would be a good idea to move ECHOCFG to SCFG.

    Is that about right?

    You are one strange person.

You are one strange person too. Downvoting every message I write.

You didn't answer the question I asked you above. Why not?

I've told you in the past why I downvote (most) of your messages. I'll continue to do so as long as you continue to do what you do in regards
    to up-voting.

Asking me to go on your bbs is the last thing I'd ever do.

I don't recall asking you to "go on my BBS".

I treated you pretty decently on my Fido echo area titled "Mobile".

I don't recall that either, and it doesn't even really make sense.

You still treat me like crap on FSX and DOVE-NET. Which I don't
think is very much fair to me. :-(

I don't "treat you like crap". I ask you questions sometimes about your statements/questions, and you almost always don't bother answering. If
you do respond it's about something else, completely un-related and irrelevant. I'll keep trying, though.

You were talking about Trump's app on Mobile. You even told me that you carried the ftn echo area on your bbs.

Ummm, no, I wasn't. I was responding to your statement "He's competing
with Twitter? Unbelieveable." I said not one single word about any
"Trump app". Your reading comprehension sucks. Go read the post again
if you need to refresh your memory.

You even told me that you carried the ftn echo area on your bbs.

I do carry that FidoNet echo on my BBS, but not sure what that has to do
    with anything.

Another VERY strange (and inaccurate) post by you.

Yeah, I honestly can't follow his "train of thought". Pretty sure he
can't, either. It's really quite strange.

    "great" ?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

That's pretty cool, though. Were you Russian-born, and then lived in Germany and later Canada?

I was born in California but came to Canada speaking Russian at
home, English at school and my relatives speaking German.

That's really quite interesting. There's obviously more to that story,
feel free to share more info if you care to.
