• SMTP Spam issues

From Nick Young@1:103/705 to All on Mon Oct 4 23:59:08 2021
RTFM was quite useful, I managed to auto-block repeating offending IP addresses that constantly hammer my Synchronet SMTP server and also implemented a 24h block instead of the default 10 minutes.

I set the log level for [Mail] in sbbs.ini to Informational and Debugging but I still get all those poxy messages telling who is trying to log in and the fact that they're blocked. Is there anyway to disable these "!TEMPORARY BAN" messages while still getting all the useful output from the SMTP server?

    Cheers

"TEMPORARY BAN" log messages are of the "Notice" log level. So you'd need to set your log level to "Warning" to exclude them.
