MX is maybe my fave ... this laptop is MX.

However I still wonder if PiOS is still a bit
better 'tuned' to the PIs and GPIO and such ...

16Gb for an OS?! what is the world coming to?

Hey, there's always the "tiny" versions, add what you
will, or won't ... or maybe Antix ........

However THAT much space IS worrisome for the LiniVerse.
Getting to be a lot like Winders. Way WAY too much
"eye candy" and "features" I suspect. Personally I stick
to LXDE, JUST enough GUI for comfort, no BS.

Alas Antix is writ by very depressed Greek communists ...
all the themes are dismal :-)

16GB isn't for the OS. Its for the bundled in applications. And the
    pretty little GUI

Strictly true ... but Linux with no apps, and for most
no GUI, just ain't worth doing.

Europe is getting very depressing as the communists gradually erode everything about it that made life worth living. I think it is
intentional. Mass teenage suicide and fear of having sex is one way to
    reduce the populations.

It seems a large number of people would welcome a Putin style regime to
    take it over...

I've seen it, and not just in Europe. I may sound a bit
odd here, but I think 'civilizations' can get 'old and
senile'. Then they grow weak, confused, and soon enough
some outsiders take control (and make life even worse).
Civs/nations that still have the "eye of the tiger" are
on the uptick. All others become prey.

Putin re-made Russia, kind-of gave it "the eye" again.
Iran and other Islamics are also born again hungry.

China is the odd one out ... something about the culture.
It's more the snake, always slithering into affairs and
then squeezing. It is a predator, but quiet, stealthy,
    selective, patient.
