• More chromium vs youtube problems

From bob prohaska@3:770/3 to All on Sat Feb 26 06:18:20 2022
Starting yesterday it's become impossible to watch YouTube
videos using the Chromium browser on RasPiOS 32 bit.
Everything is up-to date as of this evening, but when a
video is selected the viewer windows opens with the spinning
circle icon, but it never leaves the black background. No
sound, either. However, the thumbnail images come up normally.

Firefox works fine, so it's not the machine (Pi4 8GB) or network.

Thanks for reading, and any ideas.

Works fine here on Pi4 4 GB 32 bits.
But I never 'upgraded' anything and modified the OS :-)

Also works OK on Pi4 8 GB with a more recent (few month) 32 bit system.
    What does not work is
rt.com (Russia Today) as it seems blocked in the Netherlands since last night. But I have a satellite dish so even easier.
Until they kill that channel too like thay did with the Russian German language channel.

Then its back to the postal pigeons ;-)

Are you sure is not your net connection?

I'm not sure of anything, but Firefox on the same machine (using the
same network) displays YouTube videos just fine. The host and network
    seem unlikely culprits.
