I wanted to say more but I have broken into 2 messages.

I know that not everyone here is from the US or knows the US gun laws.

There is a few terms you need to know...

1) Castle Doctrine.
2) Stand Your ground

Castle Doctrine does not apply to the shooting in Minnesota that involved an ICE agent. Castle Doctrine allows someone to protect your house and family. You can meet the robber with equal or great force and you don't have to look for ways to avoid the conflict. Some Stats require, if you can, to avoid the conflict.

Stand your Ground... for regular folks, not police, means that you don't have to look for a way to exit the conflict and you can meet the aggressor with equal or greater force.

The threat has to be real or perceived as to a normal person. So... if there's a road rage incident and you want to go back and bang on the guys window and yell and threaten the person you're pissed off at... Stand your Ground laws states that you, the victim, can address that person with equal to or greater force and shoot him.

There are several States that are Stand Your Ground... Florida and Texas to name a few.

Minnesota allows for self defense, but requires that you look for a way to retreat. If you pull out a gun and the aggressor is running away... You can't shoot, threat is gone.

Self defense for law enforcement... Laws both Federally and at the State level side with the police... For the Most part...

When it comes to looking at situations like this the cop/ICE agent was a few feet away from the front of the vehicle. The driver was in reverse and then put it into gear. Move the steering in the direction of the ICE agent and hit the gas.

FOR THOSE who don't know this ICE Agent was the agent who was hit by a car and dragged for someways and was hospitalized and received 37 stitches... Just a few weeks back.

The ICE Agent had a split second to make a decision and he made a defensive shot. The investigators will be focused on the second or two leading up to the shotting and if they can see that he felt threatened the law, Federal or State will side with the ICE agent.

BTW, if that ICE agent was further away down the street some... Minnesota law would have required to step aside.

The woman knew she was talking to Federal Agents. She and her wife were both talking to the agents, tauntingly... The Federal Agents were telling the driver to get out of the vehicle, a lawful command, and she decided to drive towards an agent aggressively who was a few feet away.

She was shot and died.

I don't see the agent getting charged or being reprimanded.

I think it's more incidious than that.

As a kid, my parents encouraged learning and even in winter, when I didn't want to go out as often, I still explored mentally.

But what happens to a kid when their parents don't encourage learning?

What happens when teachers don't encourage learning and exploring and critical thinking?

When I was in school, I usually got along pretty well with my teachers. But looking back, I can see that the ones that I didn't get along with were very similar: Incompetent. "Don't ask questions. Just do what you're told." And today, those bad teachers are the norm, not the exception - by design.

We also have to factor in some stuff that Thomas Sowell wrote about.

Southern blacks, especially ones that escaped, went as far north as they could.
The farther north they went, the less chance that they would be taken back to the South. Over time, they developed successful businesses and became respected people in the community.

The old segregation thinking would take a while to go away, but it was fading pretty fast. Then the Left pushed the black trash up to the north into the enclaves that the successful blacks had established. That move wrecked those areas. The successful blacks moved out. And much of the respect that they had earned was destroyed. A criminal black and an honest black look the same.

Then you have the media popularizing the "gansta" culture and you start getting Wiggers.

He encourages me to go to college, but he had no clue that they would successfully brainwash me there. He thought they'd just teach me how to

College offered the opportunity to grow and be educated. But you had to stand your ground and question. College was 30 years ago for me, but even then, I had to take control of my education and not let the Lefties push me into something that was bad. It's even worse now.

But the "you need to go to college to be successful" propaganda was pushed for a long time.
