• China Shows Its True Colors

From Joseph Pereira@1:124/5016 to All on Fri Jul 4 05:54:20 2025
China has announced its belief that Russia should not lose the war in Ukraine. If Russia were to lose, China argues, the US would be able to focus too much attention on the situation around China and Taiwan.

So, what we in Europe already suspected is true: China is helping Russia, and it's doing so because it benefits China.

This makes the "camps" of a potential World War III increasingly clear. The only question that remains is which side the US is on.

Will the US pull the same stunt the USSR did in World War II? Namely, switching sides during the war?

Trump has spoken with Putin again for an hour, during which Putin stated he wouldn't deviate from his plans for Ukraine. Trump responded by halting weapons shipments to Ukraine.

So, which camp the US is in is also becoming somewhat clearer. The question is how Americans feel about this, but the majority of politicians seem fine with it, as Trump isn't facing much political resistance.

The question now is whether Musk will follow through on his threat: to help unseat incumbent Republicans in the midterms. I think it was just another boast from Musk. I don't like the idea of a rich person simply deciding who gets seats. On the other hand, if Musk loses billions because of this, what are we complaining about? An internal struggle among Republicans would also give Democrats a chance in Red states. That would cripple Trump in his last two years.
