After the Senate, the House of Representatives (often referred to as Congress) has now also approved the BBB. Trump got his way.

In short, the BBB is everything Trump promised his friends. "Make me president and you shall receive." And so it happened.

For four years, Republicans claimed that the Democrats were acting shamefully because they needed to cut more spending. Now, trillions more in debt are being added, and that increasing debt is no problem at all for the same Republicans. They are shameless.

The US is doing this to itself, as it will only accelerate the decline of the US as the world's number one economy.

The BBB also includes a dividend tax increase for foreign investors. This isn't a huge sticking point for most foreign investors, but it is a concern for pension funds. They will certainly start feeling the increased tax in the coming years.

Sixteen million Americans are going to lose their healthcare. If they get sick, there's a chance they won't have the money to get help. Many local hospitals will disappear simply because central government funding will stop. Meals for schoolchildren are also expected to disappear. This is particularly a problem in poor regions, as it at least ensured children received one decent meal a day.

Republican states, in particular, will feel the impact, but the question is who voters will blame for this. Fox News will simply blame the Democrats, and that will be "their truth" in those states.

They are doing it to themselves by relying for their news on a TV station that itself claims not to be a news channel, but merely to provide entertainment disguised as a news channel. You can get away with it with a dumb population.

The free world, especially the other 31 NATO countries, is grateful for what Trump is doing. Not the politicians, but the people, the taxpayers.

We now can see how not even the politicians, always eager to please "Daddy", can no longer can defend their reckless spending on US subpar military equipment, to buy a seat high up on the NATO table.

Now they have to ensure they buy what is best suited for countries that spend all their money on defence, rather than equipment meant for use when invading other countries.
