Now I strongly suspect that this new pope was chosen (not elected but chosen) by the world elite
because 1) who does the world elite despise
more than anybody? (Trump) 2) what kind of pope do they want? (One who will oppose Trump) 3) Where is this new pope from and what's his background? (Trump-hating leftist from Chicago.)

Well, duh. There is "election" of the Pope and never has.
The Church just does it more "softly".
I actually stopped caring what the Pope says/does/etc. a long time ago
and I see no reason today to change that.

They weren't too soft when they helped cover up the truth behind the Kennedy assassination.
I care about what he says because he has influence over sheeple. And I hope he keeps his mouth closed about American politics.

Human are made to read patterns.
And by "soft" I mean that they "encourage" that we give up all our thinking to the church "elders" and treat dissadents like wayward children. As opposed to the Elitists of today who want to pass laws to take all our rights away.
I'm a Christian, and I go to a Catholic Church, but I'm not a fan of Papal leadership or of any church leadership that goes beyond the father(s) at the churches.
I didn't like the propagandist messaging that came from Pope Francis pertaining to the USA's reluctance to accept migrants, and I didn't like how Catholic Charities (during his reign) funded attorneys who advocated for illegal immigration into the USA.

Are you catholic? I hope you do not participate in The Eucharist with that wishy-washy description of your faith
Once again, I sincerely hope you're not taking communion. When speaking
on matters of faith and ethics, the pope is infallible, being the direct successor of St. Peter.
Perhaps you should find a different Church to attend if you are not Catholic, as such blasphemy could surely lead to your excommunication, otherwise.

The weirdest thing happened yesterday, just as we're in the midst of
this conversation:
Yesterday's mass at my church was focus on sheephood. The father said
we are sheep and God is our shepherd. Then he said that children are
sheep and parents are their shepherds. Then he said Catholics are sheep and the church leaders are our shepherds. But then he said "the pope is our shepherd and we are his sheep." (That last part didn't sit well.)
our shepherd and we are his sheep." (That last part didn't sit well.)
None of it sat well with me since it all smacks of ownership and slavehood.
You are correct. And there are some clues that are too obvious for us to ignore.
Chosen is correct. Pope Leo XIV was chosen by God, through the prayers
of the faithful and the ballots cast by the sacred college of cardinals.
Perhaps you should find a different Church to attend if you are not Catholic, as such blasphemy could surely lead to your excommunication, otherwise.
Or, maybe this entire religion thing is just a pile of crap made up to control the people.

Oh, that plot twist at the end, really was *salvation* for me!!

Not taking communion is direspectful to Jesus, but not agreeing with
the pope is a God-given right. Take my advice: don't be on a mission
to be holier than others.

I take it twice a day sometimes. My relationship with some guy who was chosen by PepsiCo and Proctor & Gamble has nothing to do with my relationship with God.

Listen to yourself and then ask yourself if that sounds Christian to
you.

You know what I think, people are stupid just because, *without* anyone conspiring to make them more stupid indeed.

Yea it was ridiculous. And the choir sang psalm 100 - We Are His
People, the Sheep of His Flock, which was hilarious.
The church is taking advantage of the psalm and hacking it into "Obey
the pope."
If that's not disgusting enough, then what's worse is how the media is
now acting like it's cool to be Christian when they always hated us
prior to this pope getting hired. Now that they have one of their employees in charge of the Vatican, they won't shut up about him.

Most churches, it seems, have long been infiltrated by the Woke. They
are just a version of Controlled Opposition.
Religion is just a vehicle for your relationship with God. You don't
need it because you can walk to your destination without it. I like
the Catholic church because it helps reenforce some of the good values that I teach my kids, but I'm about ready to ditch it for a new car.
I suggest you talk to your priest about that. And if he has no
idea what you're speaking of, I'm sure the bishop at your diocese
will. I'd suggest doing it during confession.
I'm not gonna talk to him about it, but you're right; the bishop
probably knows exactly what I was talking about.
Papal infalibility is part of Catholic dogma. Denying Catholic
dogma, according to the Catholic Church is a grave sin
(specifically, the sin of heresy).
I was never instructed on which butts to kiss until now.
Listen to yourself and then ask yourself if that soundsChristian to
you.
I'm not Christian. I know a lot of good Christian and Catholic
people, however, and none of them make up lies and accusations
like you do.
I call it me making an accurate prediction: I predicted that the pope
was going to be an anti-Trump tool, and that's exactly what he's
turning out to be. What lies and accusations are you talking about?
I suggest you read this article:

If you're serious about the Catholic church, you may want to talk to
your parish about RCIA (the Right of Christian Initiation of Adults)

I haven't noticed it until recently. Part of it has to do with (for Catholics) having a cool priest.

You can't be catholic *and* woke... God is a man and is white with blue eyes. What are you talking about?
Well, churches are the same way. The older crowd gave the money, so they needed to cater to them. But that style turned off the younger crowd who didn't go when they got old enough to make that decision.
As a result, many churches are trying to appeal to that younger crowd.
But all that hides that fact that they are just as Elitist as the Democrats.
And, IMHO, just as infiltrated as the universities by the Wokies.

I don't remember Bill Knapps, but I get it. The Catholic Church was probably trying to appeal to older people during Trump's first term,
but have since figured out that it's the younger generation that has
more money.
I got talked into going to a mega-church for a "ceremony" (I'm not going to call it "Mass") and thought I was at a live variety show with all the singing and guitar playing.
Money is part of it. But it's more along the lines of, if they can't get younger people to join the church, their membership will die off - literally. And the church dies off too.
