    in the news today... the EU is pushing Biden into declaring
    an environmental state of emergency... They want to
    restrict commercial flights to flights being greater than 3
    hours and restricting to only 4 flights in a lifetime.

    I can sort of understand their point of view on the first thing. The EU
    has much better train systems which would be good for those short trips.
    BUT, it would not work for the USA. The second point is pure nonsense.
    I have had far more than four flights -- some for business and most for pleasure. The only alternate for some of those flights would be an
    ocean liner taking months. Such a restriction would mean the death of
    the airline industry.

    Indeed. I cannot understand taking a plane if there was a timely rail alternative.

    Well out elite friends are only talking about our travel... They'll still be using private jets and gas powered cars... The main reason it won't work in America is the 10th Amendment

    Rail lines that get you from place to place reliably. They have them in Europe.
