The US got into the war late in the game, waiting until December
of 1941 when Japan woke us up with a raid on Pearl Harbor. What we
did in Europe was very little, as most of the action was in the
eastern part of Europe and what was then the USSR. Turkey stayed
neutral, as did Switzerland. Along with Ireland.

Had the USA stayed out of WWII, what would the world look like
today? Would there still be an Imperial Japan? What there still
be a Soviet Union? Would there still be a Nazi Germany?

So why the snide remarks? What is it that he said in his speech
that so offended you? Was it his presence? That he dare speak at
an international assembly of diplomats and representatives from
other countries?

The gaffes and this misspeak were not at all impressive, as the video clearly demonstrates, it also shows incredible weakness. also not one mention at the UN about the out of control problem at the U.S. / Mexican border.

Russia) at the UN roared with approval when Joe Biden made those
remarks at the podium. Everybody knew what was going on, and who
had caused all the trouble.

Republicans have criticized President Biden because they want
the US to spend less on the war effort. Republicans such as
Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who would rather the US default on its
debt than taking care of what is really important. Republicans
such as Donald Trump, who would bring a complete end to the
war within a day by raising the white flag himself to Vladimir
Putin.

Fortunately for us all, solid majorities of Americans support
providing weaponry to Ukraine to defend itself against Russia.

The US has the best-equipped, and the best-trained military in
the world. And yet it cannot win against jungle fighters in Vietnam
or Taliban fighters in Afghanistan? Something is very wrong with
that picture.

They couldn't even defend their citizens against four unarmed passenger jets
spending more than an hour in US airspace, over the most populated area. Scary as hell.

And yet, GWB had been warned of the possibility, before the events
actually happened, by our own intelligence sources. That is even far
more scary.

How safe is the USA, or any other country, from attack by terrorist organizations? Not just al-Qaeda, but all (both foreign and domestic).
Other countries have also been hit (such as France due to a newspaper
printing comics Muslims did not like). Or even Sweden (due to burning
of a Quran). And who can forget Timothy McVeigh (Army of God) who
blew up a federal building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 men, women
and children?

No country is truly safe from terrorists or acts of terrorism.

But when a president eggs on a crowd to ransack and take over the
capital building and threaten to kill those inside is even worse than
what we experienced on 9-11.

And horror the thought the ringleader could get elected POTUS.
For a second term. As if he had done nothing wrong.
