All of INFO-zip's sites are shut down.

Can anyone point me in another direction?

You would think that, as I do, but I keep getting this.

    http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.info-zip.org/pub/infozip/WIN32/wiz503xN.exe

that's a graphical frontend... you don't need or want that... you want the regular command line versions...

but i see what you mean... something is rather uggghly in the land of nod...

my browser was unable to connect to several of the sites... not sure why but when i fired up my ftp client, i was able to get right in...

now the question is "what OS are you running?" also "do you need/want 32bit or 64bit?"

i ask the above because i'm willing to pull the files you need and place them on my site for you to grab... if you'd rather get the file yourself, i'd recommend to try using a normal ftp client instead of a web browser... web browsers used to do ftp with no problems but things are changing in today's security conscience world and browsers are starting to not work with ftp sites like they used to do...

you might also be able to try using wget or curl to pull the file(s) you want but you need to have the complete URL to them first...

in any case, if you can answer the above, we'll see what happens ;)

    Thanks Mark,

It would be great if you could make my life easier, by any means.

The link gave me a a 404 error just like all the others I have tried.

    This is just amazing.

And then there is the Authentication error.

    :Sorry Mark

I am running windows 64bit on a64 bit computer.

Seems to really slow things down.

However the 64 bit software tends to be very good.

    I will try FTP later.

    Alan

can you drop to a terminal and ping www.yahoo.com ?? can you reach any website?

if *ALL* the links that people are providing are not working.. then sounds like

    something else is broken.
what are you using to view web pages??
I just did ping infozip.sourceforge.net and got a valid responce and I was able

    to view the web page
