    Wrong window. You were supposed to write a NetMail and not an echomail. Now you have to trash your password which is in the subject.

    wtf... thats actually a script I use for posting those to netmail. I'm curious to find out what the heck changed.

    ...aside from my password in a moment.

    I was wondering where my reply was

    Thanks!

    Why would you need to use a script to do a simple action?

    Rotate your secret asap and just don't run that piece of junk anymore.

    I was wondering where my reply was

    I was about to fake it out but today is way beyond the April fools' day already.

    P.S. What is that BASH echotag about?
    Bash as a shell? Bash as a scripting language? Bash as to work hard at something or a to produce a quick result like a hackathon (we do it often at work)?
    Ah, I see. It's a social gathering. That would be too much British.

    Best Regards, Nil

    Its actually quite handy when you have multiple networks with multiple passwords and addresses. It basically pulls up a menu that allows me to poll each hub individually or I can poll all uplinks etc, start an areafix/filefix email that inserts the hub address, then password into the subject, then brings you directly into the body. From there you type your commands. It also Merges a nodelists just because it was handy while I was setting up some other things. A little setup for less time having to think about/look up things before hand.

    Ultimately, even tho the menu had a command to switch to the netmail area, it couldn't due to a lack of access due to a change I made in error. So it just defaulted to the area I was in.

    Hah.. I'll stick with my script. Bugs happen.. this one just happened to be public lol.

    Its the Bash Shell Echo on Fidonet.

    What could possibly go wrong when "have multiple networks with multiple..."? haha

    It basically pulls up a menu that allows me to poll each hub
    individually or I can poll all uplinks etc, start an areafix/filefix
    email that inserts the hub address, then password into the subject,
    then brings you directly into the body.

    I'm a die-hard text-mode GoldED user for about since 90x, and we have macros, not a script with templates. Here's an example.
    ```AddressMacro af5020-1042, AreaFix, 2:5020/1042, "******", K/S, Dir``` Templates will help me to choose the right AKA and the stuff. All I need to do is to write a netmail to user af5020-1042, for examplem and the rest will be filled automagically. And yes, I know AreaFix syntax so far.
    It also Merges a nodelists just because it was handy while I was
    setting up some other things.
    What do you merge nodelist with?
    How do you receive new nodelists? Fileechoes? Wget? Manual?
    Ultimately, even tho the menu had a command to switch to the netmail
    area, it couldn't due to a lack of access due to a change I made in
    error. So it just defaulted to the area I was in.
    Have you troubleshoot the issue with your script yet?
    Hah.. I'll stick with my script. Bugs happen.. this one just
    What's your scripting language of choice here?
    P.S. What is that BASH echotag about?
    Its the Bash Shell Echo on Fidonet.
    Cygwin bash? hahaha
    Ease of use my friend. Little tools to make a sysops life easier.
    I'm a die-hard text-mode GoldED user for about since 90x, and we have macros, not a script with templates. Here's an example.
    I just use my BBS.
    What do you merge nodelist with?
    How do you receive new nodelists? Fileechoes? Wget? Manual?
    Mystic has a built in fido mailer/tosser. It simply just runs the command. We get them in via fileechos. When I needed the feature I was troubleshooting something... admittedly its rarely used day to day. All of that stuff is automated.
    Have you troubleshoot the issue with your script yet?
    The message you replied to kinda indicated I figured out the issue ;)
    What's your scripting language of choice here?
    In this case its just MPL ...the internal scripting language of Mystic BBS.
    Cygwin bash? hahaha
    To each is own I guess.. its built in to every distro pretty much.
    You need to send your AreaFix requests in NetMail. I would suggest contacting your uplink and arranging to change your password as well.
    Thanks Andrew,
    Already fixed the issue.. it was with a script that wasn't switching to netmail before starting an areafix password. Password also changed at the hub.
    Thanks,
