• SciNet down again

From Dan Clough@1:123/115 to All on Mon Apr 19 21:12:00 2021
Looks like SciNet has gone down the toilet, AGAIN.

Is there anyone who can actually contact 'Netsurge' and tell him to wake
    the fuck up?

In my decades long experience with his "sabaticals" from fido and othernets. I've never succeeded to do that through email or netmail, or even filling out the contact form on his commecial website. He will be back when he's ready, which in the past, onetime was more then a year...

But I read Nick has his cellphone number, maybe that will work...

    Bye, Wilfred.

    Great, thank you.

Yeah, I can connect just fine also. When's the last time you actually
    got any echomail traffic, though?

Yes, I'm familiar with his periodic disappearances, although not nearly
for that long... Seems like kind of a strange way to "run" a network,
though. No explanations ever given, either.

But I read Nick has his cellphone number, maybe that will work...

    Hopefully.

Nope. And I have asked about it of course, but he doesn't want to reveal why he's absent. That of course is his good right. But it doesn't make him a very reliable hub/host. He's also a host in AmigaNet, which makes it my problem. :-(

    We'll see...

Maybe the time he's away depends on whether he comes out on parole or not ;) --- SBBSecho 3.14-Linux
