I am interested in setting up and leaning the backside of networking. I would like to dedicate a Windows 10 tower and my cable connection to be a HUB
for networks. What I am looking for is advise on what software I should use. I would like to learn how to hatch weekly nopelists, activate new accounts fast, compile nodelists and keep the networks flowing. Where should I start?

I don't know of any areas dedicated to the technical aspects of a Hub system, so probably 1 of the sysop areas (FN_SYSOP) is a good starting point...

If you're talking about FTN networking, try BBS_CARNIVAL. Several BBS
software authors hang out there as do a few tosser authors. This subject
would be on-topic in there. I know since I'm the echo moderator. :D That
echo is for anything that is BBS-related that doesn't specifically have
another echo dedicated to the subject at hand.

I could also help you since I taught myself from scratch how to set up a FTN network years ago (I run Micronet). It's not hard to be a hub but you need
to learn how the basics work. I can recommend some documentation that can
help with your understanding of the subject.

this area is more working out interoperability situations (NET) and developing (DEV) FTN protocols, creating and discussing FTSC proposals and documents, and similar developmental aspects of FTN network development...

That's not development, that is configuration.

No it doesn't.

Hits more than just SysOps. In that case, maybe the geneal chat echo
may help.

All hubs are run by sysops... So a sysop area might be a bit more generic, but I think it's your best fit.

Have a look at the VirtualBox package. You can create a private network and experiment. Do it well so it won't affect anyone in the outside (FTN) world.
