    For anyone following the NTTP discussion here:

    I have updated the latest prealphas to include the newer NNTP article-ID system that I mentioned previously. The whatsnew will tell the changes.

    I can easily roll it back if it turns out to be a bad thing.

    Thanks and please do! Let me know how it goes when you get some time to play around. Its pretty clear you have an understanding of what the technical problems were so it'd be great to have another set of eyes to assess things!

    I'm testing it with Thunderbird now and it seems to be behaving itself. Backups done just in case though.

    As expected it's no longer confused about what message content to
    display from one base to another now that the message-id is unique.

    I'm testing it with Thunderbird now and it seems to be behaving itself. Backups done just in case though.
