Here is an article that appeared in today's paper about a new Trek Series that will be premiering on CBS All Access in 2021. This replaces Star Trek Discovery and continues the story on Captian Pike and the Enterprise crew which proceeded James T. Kirk.
I saw the trailer, I actually liked it more than I thought I would. I loved your incite! It was awesome!
I agree, I think each Capt. in most of the series captured a certain 'group' of relatable people in each era. (ie - Kirk was pretty much a space hoe! The Free Love of the 70's!)
I always wanted to know more about Pike. His storyline on the big stage was always told as a need to know basis. I agree, I think he SHOULD be revered as the best, or atleast top 2 Capts. (Picard would come first in my book).
