Same thing here. Speed limits are only suggestions to some people.
Then you get these fools who think because they have 4WD they can zip
along on ice and snow at/above the speed limit and still be able to stop on a dime...
People around here go nuts when it snows. They lose what little common sense about driving they may have had.
I am reminded a Far Side cartoon from years ago.
Two panel cartoon,
First panel: "Typical day on the highway" with cars going along.
Second panel: "First snow flake of the season" with one lonely snowflake falling and cars running into each other, off the road, etc.
