College may be "amateur status" for the players, but like the pro
sports, it brings in "big bucks" for the school or organization.

You better believe it! And while the football program at Marshall
brings in the bucks (ticket sales, tv time, etc) they are always
crying about how poor they are, etc.
I read somewhere that college football coaches are among the
highest paid people in the country. Often times the highest paid
    people in half the states.

Thank goodness many medical facilities have a "financial hardship
    program".

Thankfully the few times I've had to use the ER (an accident or
injury, not just a hang nail like some) I pay cash and the bills are
about half what the insurance companies would charge and far less
then what I would had to pay each month for insurance, which runs in
the upper hundreds and thousands. Of course I have no medical issues
    or anything.
I also paid cash for all my dental work.

Alabama Coach Nick Saban makes nearly $9 a million a year, if I
    remember right.

You're blessed. I had to cancel 3 medical procedures this next week,
due to not having funds. My microwave oven died 2 weeks ago, and then my
Mom's oven died this past Sunday. So, I had to go to Wal-Mart to get a
new one, or I would've had no way to cook my food. I buy only
microwaveable foods...or ready to eat without cooking.

I also paid cash for all my dental work.

I'll have to get new dentures soon, but as long as I can still eat,
    I'll wait.

Outch.. microwavable/frozen has a lot of sodium content.

Why no cooking? A slow cooker solution can provide enough meals for several days.

And, ofcourse you know that you can "bake" a rather nice fresh potato in a microwave. ;) No need to buy anything frozen with potatoes.

    Bis denne ...
    August.

    Hi, August,

    All processed foods do.

I don't like to wait for my food. You don't call me "Late For Dinner".
